The North East Scotland Research Training Network aims to extend our institutions' existing provision of research training for doctoral students in Art and Desing by bringing together specific and significant research experts.

The Aim of training events will be to develop a constructivist approach to the learning experience that will emphasise the experience of the individual learner (Bruner, 1986).

The training will bring together external speakers in order to introduce different perspectives on doctoral research in art and design contexts and develop a collaborative innovation network as defined by Hargreaves (2003).
